Helsinki, Finland
I know this is kind of a strange post for Linux Forums (unless you look into the origin of Linux =P), but I'm thinking of going to Helsinki for Spring Break and I need a way to justify spending that much money to go there. Has anyone here been there, and how was it? What did you do? What excuses can I give myself to go?
Thanks for any advice!Flies of a particular kind, i.e. time-flies, are fond of an arrow.

I have been to Finland a few years ago : it is a beautiful country. I haven't been to Helsinki though.
I arrived at Amsterdam (Neederlands), then went to Danemark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.
Finland is a spectacular country : specialy in the north I would say. I went to Vaasa, Kemi, Rovaniemi, etc. Great National Parks, sun 24 hours a day (during the summer, in the north) : it is worth it, no doubt."To express yourself in freedom, you must die to everything of yesterday. From the 'old', you derive security; from the 'new', you gain the flow."

Finland... sounds familiar...
I've been in Helsinki only 3 times. 2 of them just passing by and the 3rd was a high school trip on which me, my classmates and our history teacher got so drunk that I realy don't remember much about it
It was a nice city.
yeah. The summer is the best time of year here. I live in Kuopio which is quite in the middle of Finland and it realy doesn't get too dark in here either

find linus's house and take pictures of it then post them here! just for the comedy value of course.
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

Well, I'm interested in history and have several Finnish rifles in my collection. If I went to Finland I'd tour the battlefields of the Winter War, the Air Force museum at Tikkakoski and Jean Sibelius' home in Ainola.

... or you could make a point of seeing Finnish rock band, Lordi.

I would probably go to their hockey arenas and schools and teach them how to play better hockey

I have always wanted to go to the nordic countries - they seem like such friendly places to visit.
