One of my undergrad roomates did a dual progam at San Diego State and got Masters degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He looked at alot of schools in the area and thought that the small class sizes of this school made it really good. He almost went to USC, but said he would have felt overwhelmed.
Not sure myself, but it won't hurt to check out.

ucsd has a very good compsci program, probably the best in socal that I can think of. ucla is very good as well, more prestigous of a school but ucsd is rated higher for computer science.
