    New Guy

Hello! I just thought I'd introduce myself. I have RH8 running on a computer by itself, and I am trying to learn the ropes, but it is difficult.

I am really good at Win2K/XP but this is really different. I still have to figure out installing software, because it's not as easy as double clicking on an installer.

I am excited and feeling lost at the same time!

    Hopefully I'll learn something here.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    I will say one thing:

The day someone comes out with a GUI that's as simple to navigate as Windows is the day M$ dies.

KDE is very close. Just a few changes in the way applications are installed and the way a network is handled and your average "I don't want to deal with it; just give me WinXP" kinda guy will switch to Linux.
