Of course that is true, but that presumes you have agreed to the EULA and that EULAs are enforceable. There have been many questions asked about exactly how legal they are and concerns expressed that you can't agree to them until after you have purchased the product.

Well, I'm not a lawyer. I don't blame Apple, though. Unlike Microsoft, their main source of income is hardware, not the OS itself. They need to protect their bottom line.

More news on Vista. Some specifications on the new DRM stuff includes this stuff about "Reduced Functionality Mode" for users who do not report their Windows version after 30 days or within three days of any hardware changes. Maybe you guys already knew this stuff, but it surprised the hell out of me:

There's also a huge article on ALL of the DRM stuff in Vista over here:

That's the part which really scares me about Vista. They've already put in some DRM, and they're just going to put even more in future versions with trusted computing.

Don't be scared ... they support open source now. Everything will be wonderful from now on.

Haha. Yes exactly. We can all go back to bed and not worry.

It's fine. Everything will be all right. Don't worry yourself thinking about it. Just concentrate on the friendly little paperclip and you won't have to think for yourself at all and everything will be fine. You're getting sleepy... You will spend money on overpriced MS products...
