I wouldn't do it myself, and I would laugh at someone who did.

I looked on eBay and they are already fetching 2000 us dollars for a game system that is priced at 600. I only wish that our government would make it so that they cant breed. if you are that stupid you don't need to spreading your genes into the pool!

That's what make sit worth queueing for. So you can sell it to some sap on eBay. Although to be fair a BluRay player costs

I think camping in line outside a store for any system is lunacy, but the case of the PlayStation 3 is extreme lunacy. New systems usually have a dozen games available on launch day and *maybe* another dozen that are set to be released in the next 6 months. My advice to these people is to wait 6 months for Sony to ramp up production of the things and release a lot more games.

But then I'm obviously not of the same mindset as these folks. Some want to buy them just to scalp them on eBay auctions, others are so obsessed with the idea of having something the day it comes out that they forego their lives (often taking off work, not taking bathroom breaks or showering) just to have the latest piece of machinery that they'll pay exorbitant amounts of money for only to have nothing to play on it in 2 months time.

that and Sony is already apologizing for the systems that are not going to work correctly. last year the xboxes that were overheating. what this camping and selling on eBay says is that its ok to sell crappy unproven equipment to be fixed later because people will still buy it.

On the subject of availability, I took a look at WiiSeeker and PS3Seeker to find out what the projected quantity would be in my area. It's pretty telling. My local Target has 51 confirmed units of the Wii and 5-15 "estimated" units of the PS3.

i don't think it's at all reasonable for faulty units to be sold at all. shouldn't they have been tested before release? oh, right, they want to fleece the public by using them as beta testers. don't like to sound negative but as far as i'm concerned, that's what it is. i don't plan on getting a PS3 for two reasons: they are too busy trying to milk GTA (or whatever is 'big' at the moment) and my own personal boycott of sony for the rootkit scandal.
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

Is it really about getting the system to play, or about getting it to show everyone else you got it before they did?
