    New site grand opening!

    Hey All,
I just built up my own servers, all running Ubuntu. I'm hosting my own website on them. I'm planning on presenting information ranging from advanced science to basic art. Basically, it's aimed at learning something new every day

My site is: www.IntegratedWebs.com. Right now, I'm still putting together a lot of pages on stuff I would like to share. I'm planning on showing info with programming, drawing, music... anything you can think of.

If anyone else has any idea's for what they would like to see on the site, or if anyone has any material they would like to donate just let me know.

    My email is erat123 @ gmail.com.

Hi - well done, it looks very promising.

    Current server time: is empty!
    Nice start though
Now what? You have Linux installed and running. The GUI is working fine, but you are getting tired of changing your desktop themes. You keep seeing this "terminal" thing. Don't worry, they'll show you what to do @

Just a note on fonts ... Yes, some of us are font spotters!

If you choose a serif font (letters with squiggles) people tend to read these more carefully and more slowly than sans-serif fonts (squiggle-free letters).

Serif fonts give things a rather traditional feel, and people will perceive you as being quite academic and knowledgeable. If you use sans-serif fonts you will come across as younger, more vibrant and 'wired' ... Part of the caffeine set. They speed your reading up too.

Or that's what I was told when I did my day release course the other week.

Shorter lines are better for reading speed as well (about 50 characters including spaces) but not too short as this also destroys your on-screen reading. I did publishing at university, and had to read things with titles like, 'The ergonomics of textual composition' etc. I'm still in recovery.

That's a very nice design, I like how it's simple and minimalistic without looking underdone.

    Well done.

I'm interested in hearing what sort of "advanced science" you intend to host. Can you tell us more?
