    Impressive lightsaber duel

Hi - I'm getting into YouTube and I came across this lightsaber duel. It rocks! But it needs broadband to really appreciate it.

The dialogue is a bit cheesy, but ohhhh the fight scene!

It is indeed impressive especially for a home-made video!

Thanks ... In case anyone likes the music this is set to, the singers are Denez Prigent and Lisa Gerrard. The opening song is called 'Gortoz a ran'. It might sound a little Celtic to some people, and that's because it is! The language is Breton.

Nice one I'll have to check that bad boy out when I get home. I'm a big Star Wars fan despite some recent dissapointment. So much so that at 26 years of age I even own two ForceFX lightsabers.

And yes I do duel with them

I envy that! They're quite expensive I think. Are those the ones with the built in sound effects?

The very ones. The react to movement and even make a clash noise when you hit anything with them. They have 63 LEDs in each blade so the effect for turn on is pretty cool. I have the Darth Vader EpV saber and the Darth Maul double lightsaber.

Much drunken duelling I tell ya.

When I was in college I used to kill time in the University printshop by watching fan films on TheForce.Net. One saber battle movie I particularly liked was called "Art of the Saber" if I remember correctly. The "American Jedi" spoof was funny too.

::EDIT:: Oh, I just looked at the one you linked to and that was Art of the Saber... Haha. Great minds think alike.

Actually just looking at that clip and hearing the music reminded me of something. I always remember being fascinated that much Asian and Celtic music is based around the Pentatonic scale. There is also a modified Celtic Pentatonic scale. I though it was an interesting choice for the film.

I remember Playing the first Metal Gear Solid game and loving it. Then just as I completed it and was enjoying the final music as a kind of reward for my work I started to understand the words in it. Turns out it was recorded in Irish a few miles from my house.

Check it out if you ever get the chance
