What I meant when I talked about different lifestyles is that people need to realize what's going on and voluntarily reduce their own environmental impact, like deciding to live in an apartment near a grocery store and bike to work. Hmm... was poking around these posts and didn't see anyone promoting coerced change in lifestyle. Just a declarative statement that we might have to accept something different. than what we're used to.
I say we start paving roads that go downhill both ways .....
- 12-05-2006 #63LOL! In a way it's a 'no-brainer'. We're always going to change the way we live in response to something. For example, we no longer live like we did in the Middle Ages. In those days people had more immediate threats than climate change ... like The Black Death.
