FC6 install problem
I an curently running RedHat 9.0 and would like to upgrade to FC6. I have downloaded FC6-i386-disc1.iso (twice), checked it with sha1sum and burned it to a cd (four times) using Roxio Creator 9 using "Burn from Disc Image File". I use the cd's to boot my computer (several tines) but when I perform the "media test" I am told there are disc errors and should discontinue the installation.
When I look at the CD's in Windows "properties" it says the cd's are 100% full.
I haven't bothered downloading the other discs since this one doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas on what's going on?

At what speed are you burning? A very fast burn can sometimes cause problems. I usually burn cd's from ISO files at 8x. Maybe try that?

Fedora Core's Media Test is Buggy. ignore this test and start installation. Burning image at fast speed might be the reason but you can always ignore FC's Media Test.
casperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Where did you get the ISO file from?? It may be that the ISO file is worthless. I burned mine at 16X and didn't have any problems, and it passed the Fedora Media Test...
