Windows Manager
Alright, let's talk about windows manager. Which Windows Manager you use? and Why?
When I first use SuSe, I tought KDE is SuSe now I know what it is, I'm looking for alternatives, and there's a bunch out there. In university we use FVWM (and I thought that was how Solaris looked like, silly me)
Anyway, I amplaying around with FVWM again now, KDE is too slow for my taste, and after knowing a few apps that I use everyday, I am doing fine with FVWM. I downloaded enlightenment yesterday, (e17) but I couldn't install any theme?
So I'm just curious to see, who uses other Windows Manager, and how do you use it? What file manager you use? What other apps and gadget you use in your daily life? Or is everyone pretty much switched to KDE/GNOME/XGL+compiz/beryl ???

I've been using IceWM since Mandrake 8.2. It suits me. It's lightening fast, highly configurable and doesn't get in my way.

fluxbox is cool

I'm a big fan of Fluxbox. Very minimalist, easy to configure, and other such happy things.
Once E17 hits stable, though, I am there.DISTRO=Arch

I use xfce4 on my main machine in FC5, 'cos it loads in less time than it takes me to blink, and it takes no resources away from my games.
On my laptop I use Gnome, 'cos I like the eye candy in FC6.Linux user #126863 - see http://linuxcounter.net/

Openbox for the win. Lightweight, and you can configure just about everything (not as much as FVWM, though).

Openbox for me too, I've got a minimalistic desktop with fbpanel for my panel and a simple file manager I hacked together since I wasn't satisfied with any of the others.

I love fvwm. It runs fast on my rather old hardware and, if I use it with GNOME's nautilus file manager, I can have desktop icons as well without having to load the full GNOME system.

fluxbox. but xfce 4.4 (still in development) is pretty cool too.
