    does anyone tried this one? this is based on slackware, fully loaded with every driver and proprietary plugin. Haven't tried everything on myah fully tho. But looks quite good. The speed of Slackware combined with simplicity and easyness of Ubuntu?

    I remember it being pretty... but I don't remember it being very useful for me personally. *shrug* To each their own.

    dunno why, but you sound kind of sinical when hearing something that has todo with slackware?

    Oh, I couldn't hazard a guess as to why that would be. Actually, in all honesty some Slackware-derivative distributions are quite good. My most recent rant was on Zenwalk, and I liked it.

    Well, patrick is one dude that really give love to his work. Like Ton Roosendaal with his Blender 3D actually. This is why the actual goals and visions are kept persistent. But everyone is free to modify the work anyway, with tight supervising from the creators, if it is meant to be contributed within the main product (non derivative ones).

    Oh, no need to justify Patrick to me. I'm sure his methods work quite well for some folks or Slackware wouldn't still be around. They just don't work for me.
