Mindmaps: ever used them?
I learned to use mindmaps when I started studying again several years ago. I realised that perhaps I could find a use for them again when planning workloads etc.
So I stumbled on Freemind and I really like it! I've played around with it on Windows, but having some trouble installing it on Mandriva, though someone on SourceForge reckons I need to do more reading.
I've going to get this one working. It can output mindmaps into a range of formats, including PNG and PDF.
If you've never heard of mindmaps you might like to Google for some information. They can really help you to remember information and see 'the big picture.'I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso

i used these kinda maps around 9-10 years ago while preparing for 'Common Engineering Entrance Test'. My uncle gave me a book 'Mind Power Study Techniques' by 'Raj Bapna'. these maps helped me a lot.
i didn't use any software package for this. i didn't have Computer that time. that book is still with me.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

- 12-06-2006 #3Sounds good. I used Tony Buzan's books and also had no software package to help me, but I wish I had. I found they saved me a lot of time.
