Question I need a good Linux ISP for SUSE Linux

I'm soon dumping my ISP and Windows and have bought the latest version of SUSE Linux, but now I need a good Linux ISP. What are others using??? I want a good "dialup" Linux ISP with email (but I may have to settle for something called Web Mail). I was hoping for something like Netscape but since they don't support Linux I may have to settle for something like Dialup4less.

i use cable internet. and your question depends on where you live on what you can get. One of the moderators(techieMoe) lives in broadband isolation and only gets on broadband when able to get to a wifi spot. i used to live in an area where i could only get dialup.

When I went over to Linux I had Earthlink. I set up KPPP to dial up without all the software Earthlink provides, and it works well enough for me.

If you get the paid version of NetZero, you can also use it with linux and only $10 a month!

I use Localnet at my parents' house. It's like $10/month and works fine. I would suggest getting high speed internet if it is available for you.

And of course Linux should work with any ISP. I remember when
I had dialup with a local company. When you signed up, they were helpful
and asked "what version of Windows are you using", because they had these nice
printed instruction sheets for win98, or winMe or whatever. I installed Linux
and never had a problem. I even discovered that their servers ran on Redhat Linux.

For UK users there's uklinux.net. They do a free basic service (email and web page hosting) and a subscription service for people who need more. I found their "getting online" advice very helpful because it's geared to Linux.
