Don't worry, that's how I was thinking as well. Apparently the song was called 'The Clap' originally. Not the kind of applause I would like when I go.

Wow, a Guthrie fan! I like a lot of his stuff. If you've never read it get hold of a copy of 'Bound for Glory'. That's his autobiography; it's a great read. Interesting to see a Billy Bragg track in there too. He's known to be a Guthrie fan.Brilliant Mediocrity - Making Failure Look Good
