Anyway, yes I've heard extremely good things about Zenwalk and I've read very nice stuff about Vector. Xubuntu...well I've tried Ubuntu + Kubuntu and I'd like to try Xubuntu sometime as well.

    My main factor is just this: I want something that is user-friendly for me (I'm pretty much used to Ubuntu - that's why I'm looking at a debain based distro particularly) and I want something that responds slightly faster than your ordinary Gnome or KDE desktop but which I personally think is a very nice looking GUI - XFCE.

    Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I might just go with Debian sarge though, since I already have the netinstaller..

    I agree with you, for example aLinux, it just sucks.
    aLinux sucks for more than its theme....
    All Empires rise and fall. The Microsoft Empire has already risen, only one way to go now...
