    ipod nano alternative?

    Heya,

    i was thinking of getting an mp3 player sometime soon, but am not too sure what all is out there. I wanted to try and keep it small (but not shuffle small).

    anyone have any suggestions?

    My Sandisk 256 MB player is great. It's small, though.

    I just drag and drop songs from Rhythmbox.

    iRiver make good players. I had a great H-140 (actually an iHP 140, they just rebranded them). The flash players need a driver but it's easily available for linux, the H series are just UMS so no driver there.

    Hi, the SanDisk Sansa e200 is the only real alternative out there. it has:
    Video
    Radio
    Up to 8GB flash memory
    MicroSD
    Accesories
    Large screen, ect..

    also, i can confirm everything (except video transfers) work 100% perfectly in linux with the mass usb storage option. I have one and I love it. Far superior to the nano in EVERY single way.
