    ...

    I can't believe that I'm only Girl Number Three to vote in this poll. That's...sort of hilarious... and yet strangely sad. I didn't realise the gender difference was that extreme.

    Maybe there are girls floating around the rest of the site who just haven't seen this thread.

    I think there are some girls that haven't seen the poll as you suggest, and there are probably others that have seen it but are reluctant to respond for one reason, or another.

    Male here.
    Don't wanna be confused as a female! =-}
    I think my cruddy sense of humor gave that away though.

    self-confessed (female) computer geek

    You guys think it's hard to find a female as interested in computers as you are and not having much luck, well, I have the same problem vice/versa. The only male I know (and I do know quite a few, honest!) whom I can ask comp-related questions to is my younger bro!
    I enjoy asking him posers I have a feeling he can't answer.....and often I do, and he's got a certificate in computing!
    Maybe I'll start a dating website for people like us ... "Only computer geeks need apply"
    Well, me, I'm not really interesting in dating as such, but wouldn't mind an online buddy with whom I can share interesting stuff to do with computers.... anyone know of an existing website like that?

    Well I also always thought that it would be ideal to meet some female who is interested in computers etc. However I never really believed that online dating could work (IRC etc). But I met someone on IRC, she's croatian and I'm visiting her in October - She's not interested in comps...more of a writer actually. But I guess that is still in relation in some way.... :P since comp geeks and writers read/write a lot :P and need to interpret things well So in a way I think our minds work the same hehe

    -- Life is full of surprises :P
