Why include the UK as a seperate option? It is in Europe after all....

Why wouldn't you be proud? A few of my friends have been there and said it is quite beautiful

Anyway as I've mentioned before no doubt I'm in Ireland. Originally a Dub I now live in the Sunny South East. Have to live near the coast, I always have and I guess I always will

It seemed weird to me as well, but then again there are a couple of the options that don't seem quite right. Why are India and the Middle East linked together, despite the fact that they are separated by a couple of thousand miles of Central Asia? Which box are Mexicans supposed to tick -- they're North American as well, but the N.America option seems to exclude them.

But I'd be happy enough to tick the Euro or the UK boxes. I'm not patriotic enough to care!!

Central or South America. Mexico is not part of North America, last I checked. However, my geography could be off.

I think a lot of you are taking this poll way too seriously. I made the UK its own option because it's usually a very large group on this forum, and it would skew the numbers to just lump them all in with "Europe". The rest of the groupings were not mine; they were made up by the first person who did the location poll and I just carried them over.

If you're that offended by the grouping, don't answer the poll. If this becomes an issue I'll just close the poll all together to be done with it.

Any Mexicans I've talked to have said they are considered to be North Americans. According to wikipedia Greenland is considered to be North American as well!!!

That's the reason I thought the UK was separate -- cos of the large numbers of members from there. I'm sorry if it appeared that I'm taking this too seriously. I'm not (it's just for fun) -- I just thought I'd point out a few things I found odd, and I thought that was an OK thing to do in the coffee lounge.

I'm not sure anyone has taken offence, and it would be a pity if the poll were closed. I'd much rather you deleted or edited my previous post instead of closing the entire thread.
