    They both seem to have their pros and cons, in my opinion. Either would work well enough for me if the other were to go under, but hopefully they'll both stay around for a very long time and keep improving.

    It's nice that they are quite different in so many ways and give us two different approaches to the Linux desktop.

    Same can be said about GNOME. I don't find it particularly attractive and I don't like the simplicity thing that seems to have resulted in many features being removed from GNOME 2.x.

    I use KDE 3.5.7 now, but I love GNOME.

    Enlightenment DR17 or Xfce 4 with compiz-fusion. Oh the pretty effects!
