    I use Gnome. But I've tried XFce, KDE, and Fluxbox. Gnome just seems to work for me.
    Two levels higher than a newb.

    Openbox - Xfce, fluxbox, or GNOME.

    It depends on what mood I'm in. It's nice to have so many choices out there.

    I use Gnome most of the time. Sometimes I will run it with Openbox rather than Metacity.

    I Find Gnome to be better... am too comfortable working on Gnome to work on anything else...

    I have no preference. I use Gnome, KDE and Fluxbox, and seldom even use X if I'm using Slackware or FreeBSD. I wouldn't use any if it weren't for the eye-candy / web browsing experience.
