Linux going in the wrong direction?
I read online in a news article that some people think that Linux is going in the wrong direction.
What does this mean? Where should Linux be going if it isn't going where it should be?

there are a bunch of people that think they are more knowlagable about linux than actual linux users that believe linux is going in the wrong direction. some believe it's going to far right, some believe it's going to far left, some believe its going to far up, and some believe it needs to go forward, take a left, climb the stairs and take a right at a fork in the road.
basicaly, try to ignore the people that write these articals about linux, they realy miss the whole point of linux compleatly.
actualy, ignore all articals entierly.nVidia G-Force 6600GT (bfg) pci-e: amd 64 2000+ (939): 1024 corsair ram: 2X 80gb seagate harddisk SATA: plextor cd/dvd-read/write cdrom SATA

Ah, don't sweat the small minds. In the last 10 years Linux has done done nothing more than get bigger and better.
Research, research, research before you walk the plank.

yeah, linux cant go in the "wrong direction" because its going in all directions!
the whole point of linux is that everyone can make it what they want it to be, and you've only gotta look at distrowatch.com to see how many gazillions of distros there are out there satisfying a huge range of needs from it.
as the previous poster said, best ignoring these articles. You know, aliens are going to come to earth in 50 years and kill the hell out of us for DDoSing their networks with this SETI crap

Definitely. It's like when they say that "Linux isn't ready for the desktop".
