Hmmm well if you adopted a licence like that I would argue the software wouldn't be free. Essentially you're saying 'If you share my beliefs it's free, if not then I'll make you pay.'

Also, how do you measure someone's belief system and ensure they stick to it? I'm not sure what I think about animals or their place in the universe, but if I was hungry and trapped in a wilderness with the threat of starvation ... I would start hunting. Everyone has a survival instinct!

I could argue that my approach is humanitarian, but arguments have no beginnings or endings and are usually pointless ... with the dominant individual 'winning'. Still ... if you want to issue a licence like that, you're free to do so, free to ignore me and free to carry on. I might well be a hippy in my next life. Or a hippo?

I would not accept it. I think it's a very bad idea to inject religious BS into a software license, even it's tongue-in-cheek. Even if I found the software useful I would be highly insulted by the author's tone and "take it or leave it" mentality.

I agree with all your points ---but don't you think,it adds more value to a software.

Since I think that animals are second to humans, then I would not be allowed to use your software without paying you. So I will choose to stick with software that doesn't feel the need to preach to me.
