Is Agnula/DeMuDi Dead??
I went to Agnula’s and Demudi’s site a few days ago to see if there were any updates on some bugs I’ve had on my Linux box, and it says the domain name is expired. I hadn’t been to the site in a few weeks, has anyone been there more recently and know of any announcements that they’re ceasing the project, or are they just relocating and/or re-purchasing the domain name?

It certainly seems to be. It's not listed on DistroWatch any more and the only hits I got in Google were for things like a Slashdot article in which someone commented "it's pretty much a dead project at this point."

Well, that's just a darned shame. I wish I had the knowledge to help out, because I'm sure it's death came more from a lack of support than anything.

according to the unsourced wikipedia article
.Since funding for the project ceased, volunteers have continued to develop the DeMuDi branch, while the ReHMuDi branch has been all but abandonedBrilliant Mediocrity - Making Failure Look Good

Yes, but that's an old "update." Well, thanks for the help.

Not so fast!
I'm not sure if the project is totally dead, but it's website is not. It just so happens it was "hijacked" and for some reason still unfixable. They redirected the domain www.agnula.info instead of agnula.org. If you google agnula project you will see these notices. But the last release I did see was from 2005.
I'm a Linux newbie looking for a more stable alternative for my home studio and I would love to know more about this project. I've noticed a lot of other distros with similar packages, but the idea of this being especially built for musicians and engineerings is awesome. I can't believe it was abandoned. Harkens memories of BeOS.

It hasn't been released yet, but you might take a look at Ubuntu Studio
