Dear All,
I am currently an MBA student at Insead (http://www.insead.edu/mba) and I am emailing you for your help regarding a paper that I am writing.
I would like to request you all to please fill an online survey for me by going on the link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=387523013251 It is a very short survey and will not take more than 12 minutes of your time. Seeing the experts above contributing thought I would throw a Newbies, none IT, view in. Are you sure you want the opinions of none software developers? Answered a lot of the questions thinking 'if I knew something about software development what would I do'.
If you don't want us Newbies in might be worth changing request, if so maybe warn us.
Mind you, if you warn us we may not get involved. So, maybe, you have thought about this and are playing with our heads! Or, maybe,

Thanks for filling up the survey. I hope that many of you who haven't filled up this survey yet would do so soon.
RoadRodent,
I agree with you that I should make it clear to all as to who should participate in this survey.
This survey has been designed to get an idea about what makes an open source project successful and also to see what encourages people to participate in open source projects. Keeping this in mind I would say, anyone who has participated in open source project\s or has experience of using open source product for atleast couple of years should fill up this survey becasue this would enable the individual to answer the questions of this survey from their real experience.
I hope this answers your question. Once again thanks for pointing this out.
