    Linux developer files patent on DRM

    To my suprise, I read today on a Dutch newssite an article about Alan Cox who filed a requist for a patent on DRM.

    This might become interesting if he really gets it ...

    It is assumed that should he actually get the patent, he would refuse people to use this kind of technology. Alan did not comment on this yet.

    Interesting indeed...nobody saw that coming...
    Strange, I would have thought that MS or Apple or at least the entertainment industry would have patented the notion of DRM
    All Empires rise and fall. The Microsoft Empire has already risen, only one way to go now...

    From what I read on slashdot it doesn't appear to be of DRM but a particular type of DRM. But I have not looked at in any great detail.
