Why I love Linux
I've made a list of the top 10 reasons why I love Linux, compared to Windows XP. Bear in mind, I've had Linux for like, 3 days, so I haven't even been able to use half the features.
10. Linux is free
9. Linux doesn't put piece-of-crap trial software on my computer.
8. Support for linux is helpful, even when I'm not paying for anything.
7. Linux doesn't let trojans run ramped on my computer.
6. Linux gives me software for free, which costs hundreds of dollars for windows.
5. When I boot up linux, I don't spend the first half hour closing all of the stupid processes that run on startup. *cough* Windows *cough*
4. Everything in Linux, is customizable, and moddable.
3. Linux is logically formatted, unlike windows, which i was believe was designed for apes.
2. Linux doesn't act like my system resources are delicious chocolate donuts.
1. Linux's security is not often comparable to swiss cheese. *cough* windows *cough*
The reason I posted this, is because within having Linux for a couple days, I've already come to love it. The only problem is that I can't use my previous adapter drivers on it, so while I'm figuring that out, I have to use windows. I used to love windows, because it was the only choice, now I dread booting it up.
P.S
Any other suggestions for the list?

Your list is pretty good but I would like to point out two things that I like and why I don't use 'the other one' anymore.
1. reliability of linux. purchasing software doesn't mean it will play nice with other apps
2. I HATE REBOOTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in many cases a windows box has to be rebooted to install software How many times have you seen, "Changes will take effect after restart?"
I hope you get you driver problem taken care of so that you can join the Open Source Revolution!

AMAROK needs to be one there. People consider to move to linux just because of that program. I love it and anyone I have talked to has loved it too.

Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem as much as I'd like to
.
But here's my couple of reasons:
I love Linux because to me, it actually feels like a well built and laid out OS.
I love Linux because it has true user-management and it's standard apps (I.E, Konqueror) doesn't lay in the core of my OS such as Internet Explorer and the whole Windows interface...
I love Linux because it is flexible and I can make of it what I want.
I love Linux because the community is great!
I love Linux because it's generally faster..
I live Linux and I love Gnome
