Can you re-take the exam?

What do they ask in your exams? I hope it has to do something with designing and analyzing some circuits. In case you are trying for a re-take best of luck.

yeah, i can retake it (which i will be doing). It was mostly on windows boot files from 3.0-xp command prompt utilities, system restore utilities and minor networking questions. One of the questions was: You are working for an IT company, you are on your way to the customer's house and you get a flat tire. It's 30 minutes before the appointment. What do you do?
a. Walk
b. Call Your Boss and ask for a ride
c. call the customer and reschedule
d. don't call anyone and fix the tire.
none of the choices are very good. I still have no clue what the answer to this question would be. I answered fix the tire, but i don't think not calling anyone in that situation would be very good.

That's when you bust out the reefer and say "**** this customer, he runs windows anyways."
No I think the answer is call the boss because, not calling anyone is foolish, calling the customer to reschedule could result in you losing that customer, and your boss is supposed to help you out. Calling him keeps the problem within your company, yet to the customer, you get there and everything seems fine. And fixing a tire? Come on, how many computer geeks know how to fix a tire? I haven't done that since I was like 13 or 14 in high school. I've been in jams before where I couldn't get a ride into work and I either call my boss or someone on my team.
- 02-09-2007 #6Are you serious? That's a question? As long as you have a spare tire and a jack it shouldn't take more then 10 minutes for an anorexic midget to swap tires.

Yes I guess if given the challenge I could do it, but it would probably take too long. My girlfriend once said to me "What kind of a man can't change a tire?" to which I replied, "What kind of woman can't make rice?" ROFL.... I guess that's probably only funny to me though.
Either way, this question is bogus because in all answers, you should be calling someone to notify them you might be a couple minutes late because of traffic or ripped tire or whatever.
I know that on all the tests I have taken you can comment on a question. I have only ever had to use it on some ****** question on the LPI exam.

Swapping tires is easy.
1. Park car and set E-Brake
2. Loosen lug nuts
3. Jack up car
4. Remove lug nuts
5. Swap wheel for spare
6. Put on lug nuts
7. Set car down
8. Tighten lug nuts
Of course there's another step if the flat tire is on one of your drive wheels. Then you want to swap that with another wheel so you don't screw up any gears. The whole, one tire spinning faster than the other tire thing, really plays hell on spider gears. Two levels higher than a newb.

You've never heard of the A+ certification program from CompTIA? It's an entry-level certification for PC technicians.
