I was just browsing Linux.org and came across this article:

Really interesting read! From what I gathered, if Sun decides to go GPLv3 for Solaris, the GNU project might make it the default kernel for the GNU OS. wow! There is nothing wrong about multiple kernels (we all learn together). Of course it would then be GNU/Solaris
