That's a very interesting article, thanks. It seems that my original drive (the Seagate Momentus) has been giving other people issues as well. I've run through most of the suggestions on the list but nonetheless, a very interesting article. I may have to post a link to it in the rant.

Something I noted when running smartctl utilities on my current drive is that it's already reporting over 400,000 load cycles after only a few days of use, which tells me *something* is definitely wrong.

If this harddrive has the same problems, I'm just about to the point where I will ask Dell to do exactly that. *crosses fingers* I just hope it doesn't come to that.

I do not know just where you purchased your Dell 1520, TechieMoe but since I shop at Staples I emailed the president's office advising them to look at your postings about your new laptop. Staples has a fine reputation and I'm from Massachusetts and know a lot of their employees.

They have begun pushing Dell's products recently. I received an email back from the president's office yesterday and Matt thanked me for making them aware of your postings and stated he has notified their merchandising department to keep a keen eye on any complaints that come in to them about any Dell products.

That's an excellent idea, cousinlucky! And it's just that kind of banding together by consumers that may just keep others from having the same problems as TechieMoe.

That actually looks pretty nice! I'll have to bookmark it and look back into it when I have a use for it (wich will hopefully be soon...).

Rant for Linux XP 2008 is up. Came to a surprising conclusion on this one.

Cool website dude.

Umm, thanks? I'm a little confused by your comment on my ads. You think they should be more prominent?

I think you shall put your Google ads on top of the site or into the text. (If you don't care about your revenue, you can leave ads like you have now)

Also, your ads don't blend well with the site.
