I think I might just chuck the negative section for now. I revisited OpenSolaris tonight and damned if the little punk wasn't right after all. I could have sworn I had unmounted the ISO, but I wasn't able to reproduce the problem.

I'm in the process of redoing the rant, with a new section for Rig 2 with an IDE drive I dug out of the closet. Just because the bastard was right doesn't mean I have to give him credit. Had he said it less rudely, I might have.

Rant for Fedora 9 "Sulphur" is up. I had some issues getting everything uploaded this morning (FTP server was busy apparently) so let me know if any of my files are missing.

You seem to be missing login.png for the Fedora 9 rant. At least when I click on the link, I don't see anything.

Thanks. I've re-uploaded it. Try again in a few minutes.

Yeah, it's actually resulted in a nice piece of feedback from one of their developers. It's on my mail room page. Still not sure if I'm going to make that public.

Yeah, about the time of Linux XP 2008 I noticed my rants getting linked on DistroWatch. I've had a nice uptick in traffic and ad revenue because of it. The Slack rant had me making $5-6 bucks a day (up from my usual quarter and dime). Even if I am misrepresented as a "review" site, it's good for my goal of having the site pay for itself.
