Well there it is - sooner than I expected. AACS has been smashed to pieces... Hollywood is too greedy, too arrogant, too righteous. Now their pathetic toys have been crushed, and we can maybe look forward to a Linux GUI-powered BluRay/HDDVD player?

Ha. I think I'm kinda happy, but I thought it would take a little longer than that. I don't even have a HD or Blue-ray burner yet, or even some hardware that would require it (mainly due to money). It seems very familar though. Everytime there is a new bulletproof protected media format released on to the market it is shortly cracked. I think I remember something similar happening when dvds came out, only shortly to be followed by region free dvd encoders being released on the net. In fact wasn't there a t-shirt with the code printed on it?
