Great Classic/Cult Movies
My Netflix queue was running short so I was looking for movies to add. I ended up with Solaris (the 1972 one), Cool Hand Luke, Blade Runner (one I saw before and I didn't get.... I am giving it another shot). So are there any other such movies that people should be watching but aren't because they are older or cult movies (ie Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc... don't count!)?
I will start first with
12 Angry Men (Classic)
The Battle of Algiers (cult)
Dr. Strangelove (Classic)
The Seventh Seal (cult... You don't have to be a film/art nerd to enjoy it)Brilliant Mediocrity - Making Failure Look Good

Earlier today I finished downloading Metropolis, the 1920s version, sci-fi. The only thing I can say is wow.

I strongly recommend 'Easy Rider.' Bikes, male bonding, hippies and some fantastic cinematic moments. It's one of the few films I can watch over and over again. It's also a good commentary on the idea of freedom, and what that really means.

Dog Day Afternoon -- Probably the best film I have ever seen. Shows Pacino at his godlike best.
Good Night and Good Luck -- Not a classic (yet), but one of the best films produced in recent times. Look out for lots of well-worth-memorising speeches!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail yet.

"Rocky Horror Picture Show" always comes to mind when someone mentions cult.
"Logan's Run" is worth checking out, if only for the amusement value (it's so '70s sci-fi).
I've wanted to see "Plan 9 from Outer Space," but people won't let me. That probably means something.

For classic horror, the original "Night of the Living Dead" is hard to beat.

I've seen 12 Angry Men before, it's definately a must see!.
EDIT:
I also saw "The Last Kiss" the other day, pretty good movie! I wanted to see the original 2000 version, but couldn't find it anywhere."Today you are freer than ever to do what you want, provided you can pay for it!" --Bad Religion

As a kid, my favorite movie was No Retreat, No Surrender.
Since I was about 5 years old last time I saw it, I can't be too sure how good/bad it really is.
Now I'm quite a cinephile, but I still enjoy Kung Fu movies a lot.
Enter The Dragon is among my all times favorites."To express yourself in freedom, you must die to everything of yesterday. From the 'old', you derive security; from the 'new', you gain the flow."
