recently i got the doubt that
what is the Internet Speed in Kbps
one required to the following work ( applications )
1. For Text Chating on Yahoo or Rediff or Msn or any other
2. For Voice Chat like google talk, yahoo, skype.
3. For Video Conferencing with skype or any other
what is the speed i.e minimum required for not interrupting the sound, video
please any one has the good idea
give the information
64kbps, 128kbps,256kbps what one required to chat with others in the above ways.
please provide

you can text chat quite happily on dial up (56k), and ISDN used to be fine for voice chat over msn netmeeting for me back in the good old days. i reckon video would prob need a decent 256k connection at both ends to be smooth

Well, I'd go for at least a 512k connectoin. But if that's all your interested in a 256k connection should be more than enough. 128k might make the video conferencing a bit laggy.
Two levels higher than a newb.

sounds like a homework question to me...
don't mean to be horrible but when you think about it, the answer is simple enough. chat is text only, audio is sound only and video is sound AND video.Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
