    i have an old Acer TravelMate 212TXV and i want to change it from windows to linux but i know nothing about linux and want an os that will work well and on it also the most out of it .

    thanks alot ive never used linux b4 and think its time i started and also i get to fix my old laptop up and stuff i was useing windows me on it and i hate it

    For that hardware, I would suggest you try either VectorLinux or Zenwalk, since these two distros are aimed at working fast on older hardware like that.
    All Empires rise and fall. The Microsoft Empire has already risen, only one way to go now...
