Linux is FAST as a rabbits race!

i have never installed my Nvidia drivers on Kubuntu and i lost all concept of fast processing with graphics on the screen. Without my drivers installed and just software taking care of the graphics Linux seemed as fast if not a tiny bit faster then Windows (which i have drivers installed on).

Today i finally got drivers installed in Kubuntu and man is it smooth and fast! i've installed Beryl, with a few problems (none of my desktops show up on the 3D cube but they're there, windows show up as a white outline when i spin the cube). Beryl move so smothely and looks good, from what i see so far anyway. Even surfing the web is better!

i love Linux! When you get something working it's so satisfying... i just had to share with someone, i've been trying for years off and on to get the drivers to work properly with my computer. i finally found two people out there with my same computer and Graphics card. They got help from some people and worked together and got the cards working. Now i do too!

I know what you mean! Using Linux for about 2 months now, I learn something new everyday, and get a good feeling of achievement when I get something to work. I've got beryl on my laptop, with nVidia card on it, and it runs fast too! There are some issues with it, but I think it is to do with it being so new. I'm using 2.0 Beta version, and it runs with a few bugs too.

Yes! I think that feeling of satisfaction is what keeps us all going.

Yeah, there's always something new and Linux is always being developed. So there's always something new to try out or something fun to be done. It's not monotonous like Windows or OSX.

I started using Linux ages ago, I had trouble because my wireless wouldn't work with it. I had Linux for over a year until I finally got it working. I danced around the house with a grin that was stuck on my face for a week.
