Pclos fan,
Howdy all. Was surfing for a dual boot solution when I came across this forum. Joined up cause 1. I always have questions. 2. The PCLOS forums have been so kind and really helped me. 3. Heard good things about this place (from other forums). I have been using Linux for on and off for approx. 10 years maybe more. Would always get frustrated with this or that, but always came back. Found PCLOS and have been dating her for awhile. PCLOS 2007 has got me to the point of engagement. But I have commitment issues, Mepis-Sabayon-Dream have been sending me love notes also. And am curious to take Solaris out for a dance just to see how shes improved from the last time we courted, That said, I am off but wanted to say: "Howdy" from Austin

Hello.
Nothing wrong with cheating on your operating system, provided you're not cheating on it with a dirty, lying, promiscuous one (such as Microsoft Windows (tm)). No offense to ones involved in such a horrid affair. Good day.

Well F.E...
I feel I must add that not unlike the playboy mags of old. I too keep a spot for my Wins (Vista-XP-2K) As it is a part of my work environment. Not a real gamer so the need to know the the hows and whys of said OS is just necessary. I will add since the advent of Beryl
(best darn app I have ever used) I just look at Vista more as a joke, than anything else.

Indeed - Linux zealot as I sound, Windows is just better capable for some tasks; for example, playing all of the latest games on your shiny new ATI card. I know, I know, there's Cedega and Wine and Enemy Territory and some excellent free games out there, but if I were to create an expensive gaming machine, I'd probably at least duel boot with some form of Windows.
For now, though, I'm extremely happy with *nix, and will use one of its forms until I'm too blind to see a screen.
I saw Vista on display on some laptops at Staples, but unfortunately wasn't able to try it out. Too bad - I wanted to see its new UI in action. I use Beryl as well.
