How many desktops do you have? This is not desktops as in desktop computers this is number of desktops using a GUI like Gnome, KDE or with Beryl....

    I'm well aware the numbers go really large, and why you would need even close to 32 desktops is beyond me :P, but hey, the options there just in case.

    I use 4 to 8 depending on my mood :P.

    I have 2 desktops, I only use the second one if my desktop gets cramped.

    I have 12. (F1-F12). I use most of them when I am programming.

    I have always used 4. The first distros I used had 4, and I only sometimes made use of them. I found myself doing it more as time went on, but now even moreso since using Compiz/Beryl. I really like having a clean desktop, I only have a Trash bin and a link to Home on it, so I keep my windows sorted across desktops by task and/or importance.

    the first is always full of consoles, the second has a Firefox browser and Gaim, the third just the GIMP and fourth is in case everything gets stuck ...
