    I can see where you're going with that, but how is that any different to say QT under KDE or GTK under Gnome?

    They all need some kind of platform to work on.

    Well, I guess if xul is being used, then it is the same, but if you are replacing the apps with fancy gecko stuff. Then both the desktop and the interent stuff are based on the same things.
