Hi Friends,
i am using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn ( Development Branch ) and updating it regularly.
i executed 'ts' instead of 'ls' in terminal and here is the output
its not just throwing command not found error but its giving full details if package having same name is available in sources.Code:casper@devils-den:~ $ ts The program 'ts' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install moreutils Make sure you have the 'universe' component enabled bash: ts: command not found
here is more
i am impressed. a lot of things have been changed in Feisty and its becoming more and more user friendly.Code:casper@devils-den:~ $ trn The program 'trn' can be found in the following packages: * trn * trn4 Try: sudo apt-get install <selected package> Make sure you have the 'multiverse' component enabled bash: trn: command not found
i thought i should share it with you all.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I've tried Ubuntu a number of times in the past, but can never stick with it for more than a few days. Maybe I'll try it again when Feisty is officially ready for release.

I plan on playing with the official release of Feisty as well. I'll probably order it through Shipit and if I get impatient find somewhere to download it.

Wow, that is great indeed, no need to use apt-file anymore then.
Funny you started this thread, as I was just thinking about trying out Feisty today. As it is less then a month from release, I would bet it is pretty stable by now."To express yourself in freedom, you must die to everything of yesterday. That sounds really good. Ubuntu is really impressing me too. I liked that they made the codecs easier to identify and install, this is just amazing though.

its rock solid right now. actually i didn't face any major problem from day one. most of bugs are fixed now. i dont know about installer though. installer of herd2 was very buggy. it took around 2 hours to install it.

I don't think they're doing a ship-it for it, they're still shipping Dapper because it's the LTS release.

I tried it a while ago and was very impressed. I would install it but I think I'll wait until its final. Then again, I'll see how the beta release in three days is.

Ubuntu Feisty Testing has presented me with several problems simmilar to the ones Debian is presenting me at the moment (mostly related to the internet, and I like the Internet), I'm going to wait until Debian and Ubuntu Feisty fix this problem.
