New to forum and Linux
Hello all. Just introducing myself as I have recently joined this forum after getting a Linux OS. I got the Xandros Home Premium after searching for what I was looking for. I installed it with no problems running a dual boot with XP. I have already got into doing some tweaking with the mouse controls. Screwed up the boot up, but got it back no problem.
I have used unix in the past, but not in detail. Just some simple commands to install and get it started on systems we built. I hope to learn alot in the process of using this system. I will use this as my main system, and XP will just be used for games I like to play. And I prefer using the computer for games than consoles(ie. Xbox). I don't even have a console game system.
I would consider myself computer literate. I write programs at work in VB .NET for test racks. I am always wrenching on the ones at work, and at home, the wife's and mone. I know some C language only because I haven't used it but learned in school many moons ago., but not very good at it. But willing to learn. One of the many reasons I went with Linux.
Bye for now,
Brian AKA TechmanBD

Thank you for the welcome.
Been messing with the distro I have. Not sure how often I will post because I usually try and google or use the search function of the site, But when I exhaust all my attempts, then I will definately post questions. I am looking forward learning this system. Right now I am working on the drivers and settings of my ATI Radeon X1600 video card. It works, but my screen seems to look better, more clear when I am in Admin account and not in my user account. Also I am trying to figure out how to get my MS Trackball to work like I want it to.
If I don't figure them out, then I will post questions in the appropriate sections.
Thanks again for the welcome
Brian
