    Microsoft got Owned

    ive checked all the "major" news sites, but i dont see anyone carrying the story?

    including theregister.co.uk, slashdot, news.google.com etc

    Yes I know, I too am surprised that no stories on this are out yet, nor I could find any information until I actually managed to find the page in Googles cache.

    Well, there is a dutch news site with an article on it:

    Een site van 's werelds grootste softwareproducent, Microsoft, is vanavond gehackt door een groep genaamd "Outlaw Group." Zowel in de titel als in de body van de pagina was het te zien. Het betreft een Engelse perspagina.

    Het is niet voor de eerste keer dat een bekende website door een 'hackersgroep' wordt gehackt. Vorig jaar werd bijvoorbeeld de website van een bekende Radio 538 DJ gehackt, evenals de website van Pim Fortuyn twee jaar geleden.
    Translation reads:

    A site of the worlds biggest software company, Microsoft, has been hacked tonight by a group called: "Outloaw Group".
    This could be read in both the title as body of the english presspage.

    It's not the first time that a know website was hacked.
    Last year it was the website of a Radio 538 DJ and two years back the site of politician Pim Foruyn.
