one question is why? Ubuntu has Kubuntu which is exatly what you speak of and linuxmint(ubuntu gnome base) is developing a version of its distro that will have kde as the default wm.

At the time I'm posting this, the distrowatch search actually shows three distributions based on ubuntu that use KDE. Is there a unique new feature yours intends to offer?

edit: Allow me to amend that. If I search for "based on ubuntu" and desktop environment of "kde || kde lite" I get fourteen matches.

People aren't helped by creating another distro. Although it does look cool to have one with your name on it, you could consider teaming up with an existing one. Putting all your efforts there does help inprove it and on the long run helps all of us

Yeah, its a waste of time to make a new distro just because you havent searched properly to find one that already fits with what you need. Unless there are new features, which are doubtful, just leave it.

well i think it's great your making your own distro. Sure there's a thousand out there; but if you're willing to put time into doing it then by-golly go do it.

Go ahead, dude. Unfortunately I can't help you because I am not a developer and because I have a similar project and devote all my free time to this. But I wish you good luck!
