Starting a new distro
HI!
I'm interested in creating new Linux distro. Is there anyone who has an experience with it? Where to begin learning? I know about LFS. But I think it doesn't solve my problems.
Is there any book or internet resources about this process?
Or just advice me the first steps please..
thanks earlier for replys!

You realise the work you are getting yourself into?
Also, you know that people who us it will expect support?
If you know all that and are prepared to dive in, LFS is a good way to start with it. It will give a good feeling on what is needed.

Are you sure you have a good reason for making another distro? Are there any others that you like and could help instead?

Quite often, people start a project like this without the necessary knowledge needed to complete it, but instead relying on others to volunteer to do the majority of the work for them. Those folks usually will fail to complete the mission.
I'm not saying that's so in your case at all, but you should be aware that it happens quite frequently. Good luck with your project.

Oh yeah, by the way, do not forget to make the source code available, or Linus will send an Army of angry Penguins to lay the smackdown on you.

Consider teaming up with an existing distro.
That way, your efforts pay off almost immediately
