Are you talking about DirectX 10 in MS Windows? DirectX doesn't run in Linux. I did some Googling and the 7900GTX does not fully support DX10. I'm not sure if that means it "sort of" supports it or doesn't support it at all.

Most video cards don't support DirectX 10, I suppose you want to run Vista (traitor!) because it will be the only OS with DirectX 10 support.
And, what do you mean by "DirectX 10 stuff"? Most software support DirectX 9 by now and should still support it for a couple of years ... Id like to run DirectX 10 games on my ILEGAL copy of Vista.
I belive you were kidding with "traitor". I am still linux user even more...I am fedora ambassador and translator.

sofar, only dx10 cards i know of is nvidia's 8000 series. unless ati came up with something of course.
