torrents now seems to be up. Although there seems to be an issue with the kubuntu tracker rejecting requests.

Also it's not clear if the image the torrent links to is today's final build or the latest daily build from 15th April.

anyway, torrent is at http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.04/

Just to be sure, this also means the release of Kubuntu 7.04 right?

Indeed it will

At the same time as Ubuntu, the project also will release new versions of Kubuntu and Edubuntu, specialized versions of Ubuntu which include the KDE desktop environment and educational applications, respectively.

I'm having a bit of trouble... Kubuntu upgrade instructions seem to be a bit lacking or I'm making a stupid mistake... Where in bloody hell is the version upgrade button?

EDIT: Nevermind, it appeared.

EDIT2: Couldn't find the release statement, need to make that window pop up again.

Even though I ordered a CD, I tried to download an ISO today. Apparently the servers are getting hammered, so I'll probably try again this weekend.

Yes, even my relatively unknown local mirror is slow as hell today.

With torrents I had no problem downloading Ubuntu in less than 20 minutes though (about an hour ago).

Yeah, I'm anxious to try it, but I'll wait a few weeks for things to settle down. In the interim, I'm eager to hear how it works out for you that are playing with it now.

I'm upgrading with the Adept Package Manager, and once I got past the stage of being unable to get the readme and download the update program. I'm actually starting to get some pretty sweet speeds. It's Between 200 and 300KB/s.
