When you decide to get into BASH this is a great resource - Advanced Bash Scripting GuideIt takes you through everything and is available in several formats or online. It helped me a lot.

i found I learnt really quickly from a linux+ study book.
I'm using "Linux+ study guide 3rd edition" and it seems pretty good." I didn't know it was a picture of his wife! I thought it was a publicity shot form Planet Of the Apes."

I like my O'reilly Linux in a Nutshell book. Good reference here.
