Sometimes I visit sourceforge to see what new projects are there and which ones are popular. My aim is to get cross-platform programs that run on Linux and Win XP... Today I downloaded aTunes and my oh my! was I impressed or what?
Thus far I have seen many, many media players but I absolutely loved aTunes. What's your favorite media player? (If a moderator could help me setting up a poll and moving this post to a new thread I would be gratefull)-D-

It looks kinda interesting. Is it java based? It reminds me a lot of Amarok in its layout and right down to the Audioscrobbler support. I might give it a look later. What's the CD ripping functionality like?

Linux: VLC player
Windows: Foobar 2000
Both are small, easy, simple.

My favorite media player is Muine. It is simple and doesn't have an iTunes type interface that I hate.

aTunes looks really good, I have not tried it yet however. What I use is Songbird (Created by some of the Winamp folks and other people). Cross platform and based on the Firefox engine.
