    well just adding another thought... i heard a comment on linux being under GPL hence free fo distribute. However IMO i would point out that linux is just the kernel and it is under GPL. The Linux kernel with some GNU/GPL tools packed together is a Distro and is still under GPL. However when the Linux kernel is packed with some proprietary code not under GPL, i dont think the distro is freely distributable( no pun intended!), unless it is mentioned so in the copyright notice. However u are free to distribute any code within this Distro that falls under GPL including the kernel, but not the complete distro

    Man they open sourced that a long time ago, and from what I understand about purchasing SuSE. You are barely paying for the actualy OS... what you are really paying for is the 3 months tech service (PRO) and for the support booklets that come with the OS, but if you can't afford the 75.00's there is always linuxiso.org I believe where you can purchase it for 1$ a CD, but that doesn't happen till its been out for a little.
