Geek Insurgency- A Question of Control!!

I wish there was a way I could plug a wire into my head so I could save everything new on the Internet each day.

At any rate I came across this story today and gave a clapping hand to today's computer savvy youngsters.

If any one of you had anything to do with this; I congradulate you, but please don't confess.

i can understand the effort to prevent copying, however, if that gets in the way of actualy playing the disk, such an effort is useless and foolish. they have to realize that nomater what they do, people are going to crack it, because what goes up must come down, unless in a zero gravity boundless environment where objects are free go travel with constant velocity. but i don't think there is a viable customer base in any such locations.

It's good isn't it? Reminds me of the saying, 'Information wants to be free.' It certainly does, and I love watching films etc. on my PC so I hope they carry on.

I think this is the second update. The first was cracked and a newer version released. Later that day the new version was cracked.

yeah this is a decent show of power. DRM really doesn't work and its brilliant watching these old empires crumble as they struggle to modernise and adapt.
