I hate when I start my system and I have to wait 15 minute to get the taskbar working, or the digitally signed drivers prompt
Put your hand in an oven for a minute and it will be like an hour, sit beside a beautiful woman for an hour and it will be like a minute, that is relativity. --Albert Einstein

I hate everytime something crashes, it gives me the option to terminate the program, I press it and it still takes 15 seconds to quit. I end up having to go into task manager and terminating the .exe file. Pisses me off! I also hate the update manager that constantly whines "oh you MUST restart your system to use these updates" like I GIVE A DAMN!

Hey guys, do keep in mind that Windows bashing threads are not allowed, so please don't let it become that. Simply saying that something bugs you is probably alright.
I'm sure all the admins will be watching this thread to make certain it doesn't deteriorate.
Thanks for your cooperation...

I hate having to check for updates for each softwares that installed on my system.
Unlike ubuntu, just fire up synaptic, check for updates, install updates and everything is updated just a snap.
Oh yeah. Viruses and Trojans. Got firewall, got antivirus, got antispyware, but still they found their way in?

I dislike the general condescending nature in which windows tries to communicate with me. For example
- The little dog in the "search for files or folders"
- The Staple in excel (and M$ word?)
- The automatic setting to hide extensions for fear it will confuse me
- The warning that if I try to rename a file with a new extension, it may break something.
- Warning that not installing a certain update may be hazardous to my system.
- etc
and don't get me started on the "unused desktop icons" annoyance

Security issues
the paper clip in MS Office - When I need a cartoon to tell me how to operate a computer, I'm probably ready to be put in a nursing home
One thing I noticed on my late, unlamented Win98 installation - I'd set everything up how I wanted it, including 24 hr clock, and Windows would set it all back to the defaults.

The list is so long... where do is start???
It really bugs me...
- That i'm basically a BETA tester each time i purchase a new release of Windows, even a year into running it.
- Every time i use "Telnet" in what is still called the DOS Prompt for some reason all of the buttons are screwy.
- When i set my mouse wheel to scroll 5 lines but the next time i start Windows it's set back to 1 line.

Topic closed. Reason already explained by Ozar.
There are people who like Windows, there are those who don't.
We like to keep things friendly in here since many Linux users ALSO use Windows for various reasons (and some of them like both).
